With the hugely popular and well-supported Duck Race in Abbey Fields being called off again due to Covid, organisers are hoping people will donate to help those charities that missed out.

The event was moved from last Boxing Day last year to Easter Monday this year but the Kenilworth Lions said the April event will not go ahead due to gathering restrictions during the pandemic.

So they are asking people to 'Love a Duck' and donate to a good cause.

John Whitehouse, of Kenilworth Lions, said: "The race is usually one of our biggest fundraising events of the year, contributing many thousand of pounds towards helping us to maintain our active programme of charitable giving to support local charities and community support organisations in their vital work. During the current pandemic their needs have only become greater."
