Time for tea - afternoon tea events to be held in historic Warwick building

Afternoon tea events are being launched at a historic building in Warwick

The team at the Grade I listed building - the Court House - is teaming up with Warwickshire Events for the events.

There were due to be three afternoon tea sessions held at the historic location but the August 22 session has been cancelled.

The events on August 29 and August 30 are still due to go ahead.

Sessions will be held in the Ballroom and there will be two sittings on each date - one at noon and one at 2.30pm.

Lois from Warwickshire Events said: “Whether it’s a birthday celebration or simply an excuse to catch up with friends, afternoon tea is the perfect social occasion and we are excited to welcome residents and visitors to The Court House.”

On arrival guests will be presented with an assortment of freshly made tasty treats served on vintage china.

There will be a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones.

For those that want to add extra luxury or raise a glass for a special occasion, prosecco can be added on the day.

Children can also enjoy a miniature version with finger sandwiches, sweet treats and squash, water or a milkshake.

Warwickshire Events are a mobile bar and catering company and will be providing the food on the day.

It costs £15 for an adults and £9 for a child.

Guests numbers are limited and pre-booking is essential to allow for social distancing and following government guidance.
