A Warwick discount store is giving away toys to families in need this Christmas.

Banging Bargains, at The Precinct, is holding an event on Sunday December 15 where anybody on benefits is welcome to come along with a proof of benefit to claim the toys.

On toy will be given out per child, who will need to be with the adult.

Leamington Round Table has also arranged for Santa to visit the shop on his sleigh and read stories to children from 4pm to 6pm.

There will be a hog roast and a snow machine with the event to run until 7pm.

There will also be a collection - with the money donated given to a nominated family who draw their name out of a hat, on Christmas Eve – surprise giveaways and Christmas music.

James Willcott, the store’s owner, said: “We want it to be as if people have been invited to our house to celebrate Christmas and to spread some good will.”
