With Christmas fast approaching the Warwick Lions Club has been looking for a way to enhance the festive season for families who may be separated from their loved ones due to the pandemic.

The club found the idea of creating 'Christmas kindness boxes'.

These have been adapted from the Christmas Eve boxes where young children receive a box of treats to enjoy the night before Christmas but unlike the Christmas Eve boxes these can be given to the children any time before Christmas.

The boxes are also adapted to foster values important to Lions Club members - serving others and showing kindness.

Each box will contain 12 treats and activities with a list of instructions on how each item can be used as an act of kindness.

There will also be a check list to leave Father Christmas listing all the kind acts done as well as a handful of Celebrations chocolates courtesy of Morrisons.

The boxes will be available on payment of a £10 donation to Warwick Lions Charity Account designated to help local people in need

Boxes can be collected from Chase Meadow in Warwick or delivered within Warwick or Leamington by Lions Club members this weekend (November 28 and November 29).
