Arvinder, who is 42, completed the running challenge in two weeks.

He said: "I was inspired to do this because I have had family and friends suffer from cancer and wanted to raise awareness for this cause.

"Cancer amongst men is not spoken about in the open and raising awareness as well as funds is important.

"There has also been a lack of events to raise funds for charity this year and I felt it was important for me to help try and raise funds."

Despite completing the challenge Arvinder, who is a co-director and solicitor at Cox Minhas Solicitors, said he is going to carry on running to help raise more money.

He said: "During the challenge I have been running nearly every other day.

"The challenge was to run 50 miles during the course of October, which I have completed in two weeks.

"I’d like to thank my running partners Dave Pugh, Phil Sims, and Simon Jackson for coming out on some of my runs to keep me going and my wife Gurinder and daughter Mya for their support, together with thanks to all family and friends who have donated generously.

"My target was £500 which I have exceeded so I will carry on running and hope to raise more."
