Recently he and his team have been making up hundreds of meals for staff at Warwick Hospital as well as the vulnerable people who are supported by Helping Hands in Leamington.

He said that his efforts are in memory of his son Adam.

Adam suffered from pulmonary hypertension and he contracted the flu and complications with that which ultimately led to his death. Adam died in 2017 at just 11 months old.

The takeaway owner, who also has six other children, four boys and two girls, said that he and his family would never forget the care they received during the 'worst time time in their lives'.

Baabzi said: "Me and my family were cared for and looked after unbelievably while our baby son fought for his life at the Birmingham Children's hospital.

"Since that time I've been trying to find a way to heal - I think these efforts to help, to care are going a long way towards healing.

"The experience we had with the NHS came at probably the worst time possible in our lives, and they were amazing. I can't explain it.

"We are just so so grateful to them. It can never be repaid, the support and love we were shown."

"The thing that I most connect to about him [Adam] was his fight, his determination to keep going as best he could.

"He was with us for a short time, but I hold him close to me every day. All my efforts are in his memory. I've got to make it count because he's expecting me to.

"Its healing, nothing but healing and a way to honor my parents, who always remind us that there is a bigger purpose out there, to always always pass it on and give back.

"After the loss of our boy, I couldn't find a way out of the pain, the loss. I believe this is my way back. To serve."

"We as a team are looking at ways we can help our local community.

"Being a take away, we decided to offer nutritious hot meals both to NHS workers and the vulnerable and homeless in Leamington during these uncertain times.

"We have been working with Helping Hands in Leamington.

"So far we have provided 400 meal boxes to Warwick Hospital and Helping Hands. This week we will have completed 750 meals.

"We have been doing 250 meals a week and hope to keep that pace up."

As well as making meals for NHS staff and those in need the takeaway is also still open to customers.

The takeaway owner says he has been overwhelmed by the support so far by the community and has also been raising money for charity with his efforts.

Baabzi aims to raise £10,000 for the NHS Covid-19 Urgent Appeal. The team are also donating £1 for every customer spending £16 or more through their website

"We also started a small charity campaign where the donations go to the NHS Covid appeal, " said Baabzi. "We have been overwhelmed with the gratitude and mostly, the feeling of connection with our local community.

"We as a team will continue for as long as our support is necessary. We hope to raise money, and keep trying to help as best we can.

"I think mostly encouragement and kindness is important.

"We have set up a GoFundMe campaign and people are encouraged to donate as much or as little as they can.

"Mostly, let's remember that we are all in it together, so lets be kind to one another - be kind, be patient and mostly be grateful."
