Earlier this month Baabzi Miah of Baazi Indian Takeaway in Coten End took to the skies for his charity skydiving challenge.

Baabzi had been taking on challenges to help raise £10,000 for the NHS Covid-19 Appeal in memory of his son Adam who died in 2017 at just 11 months old.

The video, which is embedded in this article, shows Baazbi's journey from getting ready to board the plane to coming back down to the ground again.

Baabzi said: "They really captured every moment and every emotion I felt from the skydive."

As of Monday afternoon (August 24) the fundraising total stood at just over £9,000 - meaning Baazbi is ever closer to hitting his target.

Baabzi added: "I would like to thank everyone for helping me out - my friends, my family and the beautiful people in Warwick - for all the kindness and support they have shown me.

"I really appreciate it.

"This has always been about helping others but this was also a bit about helping myself - it has helped to heal me - I am a changed man since the skydive."

Now that Baazbi is so close to his fundraising target he and his family are now looking at setting up a foundation in their son's name.

"We have another project coming up - we are looking at starting a foundation in Adam's name - where we help people living in countries in need by building houses and wells and so on.

"Since the skydive I have already had people get in touch because they are interested in what we are doing and supporting the foundation."
