Police are offering advice to the public for when they withdraw money.

Use a cash dispenser inside the bank if possible where you have a greater level of security.

Do not draw out more money than you need.

Always make sure that any money you have taken from the cash point is tucked well down inside your bag, and the bag is securely fastened.

Be aware of the people around you, especially if someone appears to be watching you.

If you are approached by anyone ensure you keep a distance between yourself and them. Keep your bag or wallet close to you at all times and be aware of anyone else joining the group.

If you have any doubts move away from the person or people and contact the police.
