Plans announced for Olympic torch celebrations

AS THE Olympic Flame arrives in the country this week, plans are now well under way to welcome it to Warwick district on day 44 of its journey across the UK.

The torch will reach the district on Sunday, July 1 when it is expected that the streets will be lined with residents and visitors, celebrating and supporting the inspirational torchbearers.

Leamington, Warwick and Kenilworth will be organising a packed programme of activities and entertainment.
