Playground taking shape

Parents and children in Lighthorne are celebrating the completion of the first stage of the village’s new playground.

Last year a group of parents got together to launch a fundraising campaign to pay for a revamp of the play area and they have since raised £7,500 to add new swings and a trim rail for the growing number of youngsters in the village to enjoy.

They will now continue their efforts and hold more events to raise more money to add new equipment.
