Police appeal after dog bites woman in Warwick

A woman suffered lacerations to her ankles when she was bitten by a dog during an incident on Warwick race course on Saturday.

The woman was running round the course at about 3pm when the incident happened.

She attended Warwick Hospital for treatment.

Police are keen to speak to the dog’s owner, or the woman who had control of it at the time of the incident.

She is described as a white, aged between 30 and 40, about 5ft 7ins tall, of average build and with shoulder length, auburn hair.

She was wearing jeans, a light blue rain coat and wellington boots.

The offending dog is described as a short haired, large breed which was light brown or brindle in colour, and the female had another dog on a lead which is described as a Labrador-type, also light in colour.
