Following recent CCTV footage provided to police, they now want to speak to the person who may have seen the collision on Parkfield Road.

Police were called at around 8.30pm on Friday January 8 to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a beige Audi A5 on Parkfield Road - not nearby Lawford Road as previously stated by the ambulance service.

The cyclist, 24 year-old Samuel Davies, was taken to Coventry University Hospital, where he sadly died from his injuries.

Warwickshire Police say that while the CCTV image is not clear, they are appealing for the member of the public photographed, walking past at the time of the incident, to come forward.

The witness is described as wearing a 3/4 length black coat with the hood up, white trousers and black coloured shoes or trainers. They had been walking from the direction of Newbold towards Lawford Road. It is unclear if it was a man or a woman.

Anyone with information should call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident 398 of 8 January 2016.
