Police appeal for witnesses after assault in Leamington

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 45-year-old-man was assaulted on Tachbrook Road in Leamington on Friday July 3 at around midnight.

The victim was seriously assaulted by two men.

The first of whom is described as a white man in his twenties, 6’2” tall of an athletic build. He is believed to have short blond or light brown hair and was clean shaven.

At the time of the incident he was thought to be wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

The second attacker was described as a white man also in his twenties, approximately 5ft 9ins tall and of a medium build.

He is thought to have short dark hair with a fringe and clean shaven. He is also described as having a slightly tanned complexion.

Investigating officer Det Con Edward Doxey said: “This was a vicious attack that left the victim with significant injuries that needed hospital treatment.

“I would ask that anyone who saw anything, or thinks they may have seen something, please contact police on 101.”
