Police appeal launched after man was hit by lorry in Rugby

Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian was hit by a lorry in Rugby.

A man was hit by a lorry at around 2.15am on the A426 in Dunchurch last Friday.

The man, who is in his late thirties, was seriously injured after the collision near Toft Lakes and was taken to Walsgrave Hospital.

The lorry driven was not injured.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.

They would also like to speak to the driver of a red heavy goods tanker with a white bowser tank and the driver of a red pick-up truck that was seen in the Dunchurch area around the time of the incident.

The vehicles are not believed to be involved in the collision but may be able to assist officers with the investigation.
