Police confirm name of man who died in car crash on New Year’s Day

Alan John Dean McClusky, 26, of Glebe Farm House, Welsh Road, Cubbington, was declared dead at Warwick hospital following the collision on Welsh Road at 6.20am on Sunday.

Another male, who was in the car, suffered less serious injuries and has been released from hospital.

Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and ask that anyone who was travelling along Welsh Road between 6am and 6.20am on New Year’s Day and who may have seen the green Volkswagen Golf car that Mr McClusky was in, and which was travelling away from Cubbington in the direction of Offchurch, to come forward.

Officers would also like to hear from any pedestrians who were walking along Welsh Road around that time, or anyone who saw any pedestrians on the road at that time.
