Police forced to close part of a busy road near Warwick due to a huge pothole

Several vehicles have already suffered damaged tyres

A large pothole has led to the closure of one lane on the A46 near Warwick.

Police have closed the lane on the A46 southbound between Leek Wootton and Warwick.

Officers said that several vehicles have stopped with damaged tyres.

A spokesperson said: "We have arranged Highways England to attend to repair the pothole and we are dealing with the broken down vehicles."
