Police investigate attempted robbery at Hatton Country World

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at Hatton Country World on Sunday and are appealing for witnesses.

At about 5.50pm the manager of the garden centre and farm shop was cashing up when an unknown male tried to force his way in.

The manager raised the alarm and the offender ran off towards the overflow car park.

He was last seen crossing the technology college site towards Hatton railway station.

The offender has been described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, 6ft tall and with a slim build.

He was wearing a distinctive black, grey and white camouflage ‘urban’ style jacket with a hood, dark trousers, grey trainers and black gloves.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who saw the offender or has any information which would help them with their inquiries.
