Police launch series of videos to show how they protect people

WARWICKSHIRE Police have launched a series of short films aimed at giving people a better understanding of how the county is policed.

The films provide an insight into what officers do to protect communities on a day to day basis, mostly unseen by the public, in the hope of providing reassurance.

The first film, which was published on YouTube on Friday explains how the force manages prolific and priority offenders.

Chief Constable Andy Parker said: “Our mission is to protect people from harm and catch criminals.

Warwickshire is a safe place to live but we have a small amount of criminals who cause a disproportionate amount of harm. “Our job is to stop them offending and the video explains how we do that alongside our partners.”

Other films soon to be launched via YouTube will include how Warwickshire Police manages the roads, how people can report hate crimes and a look at the range of volunteers who give their time to help communities.
