Preparing Kenilworth parents for their new arrivals

EXPECTANT mums and dads in Kenilworth are feeling more prepared for their new arrivals, thanks to a new partnership between a nursery school and a charity.

Last month Little Crackers Nursery school at Crackley Hall provided space for the National Childbirth Trust to hold antenatal classes in the town for the first time - and now the first three-week course, attended by seven couples looking forward to the birth of their first child, has ended.

NCT antenatal teacher Sian Simmons said: “Becoming parents for the first time is a daunting prospect for most couples and NCT classes are a great way to meet other couples facing the same challenges.

“Classes are run in an informal and interactive way to help prepare each couple for labour, birth, caring for their baby and the ups and downs of being a new parent. Having lived in Kenilworth for the past 12 years, it is wonderful to now be able to support local parents at this very special point in their lives.

“We are very grateful to Crackley Hall for warmly welcoming us to Little Crackers Nursery.”

The next NCT courses at the nursery take place in May, August and October. For further details, call 0844 2436872 or email [email protected]
