Professional actor made big impression

ASPIRING actors and actresses at North Leamington School were given a boost by the visit of impressionist Alistair McGowan.

The actor and comedian gave a rehearsal masterclass to cast members of the school’s recent black comedy production Little Shop of Horrors, a musical in which he starred as Orin Scrivello in the West End in 2007.

The school’s production, staged from Wednesday to Friday last week, featured 144 pupils and involved a team of more than 20 staff directing, choreographing and supporting the production behind the scenes.
