ehB Residential, which has offices in Warwick and Leamington, made the donation to Milverton Primary to help it purchase 31 laptops and upgrade its IT system. The school’s parent-teacher association had already raised £15,000 towards the new facilities.

To celebrate the opening of the new IT suite at the school in Greatheed Road, Gayl Tallis of ehB Residential presented 11-year-old pupil Daisy Bennett with the new ehB Residential IT Endeavour Award, to recognise Daisy’s skills in all areas of computing.

Gayl said: “We were only too pleased to support Milverton Primary School with its fundraising appeal.

“It is extremely important for schoolchildren to have access to IT facilities in order to enhance their learning and improve their computer skills.

“We decided to award Daisy the very first IT Endeavour Award as she had demonstrated fantastic abilities when creating leaflets and using various computer programmes to create games and design complex buildings.”

The year six pupils created a picture to present to the ehB team as a thank-you gift, which Gayl said “will now take pride of place our wall”.

Sarah Simon from the school’s PTA said: “It was important that the school was able to boost its IT facilities to meet new national guidelines.

“We previously had one computer for every three children, but with the addition of 31 new state-of-the-art laptops, the children can now enjoy access to a computer each.

“This is really beneficial for the children as they are now able to learn and develop their skills at their own pace.”

She added: “The PTA works extremely hard to raise funds through organising bake sales, school fetes, raffles and balls, so we are really grateful when companies such as ehb Residential also provide support.”
