Public inquiry into 200 homes near Bishops Tachbrook
A public inquiry will be held into the decision to refuse 200 homes in Bishops Tachbrook.
Back in September last year, members of the council’s planning committee voted against granting permission for the ‘Harbury Gardens’ scheme off Harbury Lane in Bishops Tachbrook. The plans were put forward by AC Lloyd - and the council’s planners recommended that councillors approved it.
But they went against the recommendation.
This week, it has been announced that an appeal has gone in to the Secretary of State. This means a public inquiry will be held into the decision to refuse the plans.
As well as 200 new houses, the scheme was to include a school, allotments and a shop, as well as what has been descibed as “green buffers”. No date has been set for the inquiry.
