But all this activity was taking place on the ground floor of Kate’s family home and now she and her family have decided they need to reclaim it.

Word of the impending closure was circulating last week but now in a Facebook post this morning Kate and Dan have confirmed The Nook will close at the end of business on Saturday, May 21 – leaving a massive gap for a permanent cafe in the centre of Dunchurch and a massive gap in the diets of Nook fans everywhere.

In the post the couple said: “It’s time to put our two young children first again.

“It has been a fanatstic journey and something we are immensely proud of but family has to come first.
