Red Lion still roaring
The Northend-based Red Lion team have not allowed the temporary closure of the pub to halt their quest for trophies.
Playing the winter season as guests of The Butcher’s Arms in Bishops Itchington, they won the team knock-out trophy, while Tanya Ironmonger claimed the singles knock-out trophy.
Both trophies were presented at the Harbury and District Crib League presentation evening at the Green Man in Long Itchington.
The team are hoping to be back in the reopened Red Lion in time for next season.
