Reminder: firefighter strike in Warwickshire today

As we reported last week, members of the Fire Brigades Union in the county have announced their intention to take part in nationwide industrial action today from 7pm to midnight, on New Year’s Eve from 6.30pm to 12.30am and on Friday January 3 from 6.30am to 8.30am.

This follows several waves of strikes which have been taking place in the county over the past few months.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service has said that the service will be answering 999 calls but may not be able to get to all incidents during the strike periods due to the reduced staffing levels.
