Rescue cats and chickens in need of forever homes

An animal rescue centre is looking for new homes for a number of cats and chickens in its care.

Sophie Peacock, who runs The Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Society (TARRS) is appealing for people to provide ‘forever homes’.

She said: “We currently have some lovely young cats that need special loving homes and also some fabulous chickens that have been rescued that are looking for forever homes only.”

Sophie, who lives in Hillmorton, has been working in animal welfare and dog training since 1997.

She has moved back to Rugby and is looking for new premises to house her animal sanctuary so that she can once again take on dogs and other animals.

Sophie has many animals that can no longer be rehomed due to mistreatment, abuse and medical problems.

She said: “These will always have sanctuary at the centre and are currently available for sponsorship to help support their upkeep.”

If you would like to rehome or sponsor one of the animals currently in rescue at TARRS, email [email protected] or call 0773 444 2785. Email is the preferred method of contact.

TARRS is also looking for donations of cat food, a new volunteer fundraiser and a rescue/sanctuary partner.

Cats in need of homes are Mabel, who is five months old; Autumn, six months old; Kitty, aged four or five.

Kitty has been mistreated in the past so takes a while to trust new people, and has been with TARRS for nearly three years.
