Rewards for top quality nursing care

NURSES in Warwick and Leamington who make a real difference to patients have been recognised in an annual awards ceremony.

The Woods Awards, run by South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Warwick Hospital, give staff the opportunity to vote for their nursing colleagues who they believe have made a positive difference to a patient’s experience or introduced procedures that benefit the trust.

In joint first place were Tamara Harries, ward manager on the Guy Ward at Warwick Hospital, and Maggie Murray, community matron for the ‘virtual ward’ - which provides care outside the hospital - in Leamington and Warwick.
