Rich heritage opens up

A ONCE-in-a-year opportunity to peek into some of Warwick district’s most treasured buildings is just around the corner.

The area is taking part in English Heritage’s Heritage Open Days, which give people the chance to visit, free of charge, historic sites that are either not normally open to the public or charge for admission.

Among these will be the Saltisford Canal Centre, which this week welcomed district council chairman Felicity Bunker to celebrate the launch of the open days, which take place from Thursday September 8 to Sunday September 11.

People can find out more at an exhibition at the Royal Priors on Friday September 2 and Saturday September 3 or pick up a booklet from Leamington town hall or online.
