Rugby man jailed for stealing cash and jewellery


Damien Morris, 27, from Campbell Street, was sentenced at Coventry Crown Court on Thursday last week to 16 months in prison for burglary dwelling, theft and fraud.
The charges relate to a burglary investigation by Rugby Offender Management Unit into an offence that took place on Friday August 12 this year at a flat in Campbell Street, New Bilton, where a large amount of money in the form of loose change was stolen.

Hide AdMorris was also convicted of theft in relation to a gold bracelet that was also stolen from the same property, and for later carrying out fraud by false representation on May 24 by selling the item to a local shop.
Rugby police would like to show their appreciation to all the members of public and staff who assisted in this case and said that without their efforts this result would not have been achieved.
