Running with the pack for Warwick Hospital cancer unit

THE Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital will benefit by just over £1,000 thanks to the determination of Natalie Jenkins, an occupational therapy assistant.

Natalie, along with friends Tom Pett, Steve Blakeman, Nick Collen, Marcus Ferguson and Amy Lofthouse, took part in the WOLF Run, held on an obstacle course near Offchurch, to raise money for the cancer unit.

The ‘pack’ ran in honour of Natalie’s mother, who received treatment in the unit for myelodysplastic syndrome.

Maureen Walker, general manager of cancer services, said; “We rely on donations such as this to enhance the service that we offer to our patients.”

WOLF stands for Woods, Obstacles, Lakes and Fields and the race is held on a 10km course with a series of challenges, including swims, mud pits, boggy ground, ditches and hills.
