Scouts bid fond farewell to Helen

A “HARD task master” choreographer who has also been a “real friend” to her students is hanging up her dance shoes after this year’s Warwickshire Gang Show.

Helen Wilkes, who has devised the moves for participants in the show for the past 40 years, is finally putting up her feet - but not before the Scouts and Guides in the 2012 performance have entertained audiences at the Spa Centre in Leamington from Monday to Saturday next week.

WAGS chairman Nigel Hailey said: “Helen is one of those people who can get teenagers with two left feet to dance.

“She is a hard task master for whom only the best is good enough - but she has also become a real friend to many who have been in the show.”
