Sellout audiences wowed by Leamington school’s extravaganza

The pupils took part in the musical Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat for two sellout shows.
The famed West End hit was originally written for school shows and went down a storm in front of two capacity audiences and four local primary schools.

Musical accompaniment was provided by a live band, featuring six members of staff and three pupils.
The school’s principal Chris Gabbett said: “I think events like this provide a magical experience for the performers, being led by two wonderful teachers.
“I aim to see this become a regular event in the school calendar.”

It was the result of much hard work by everyone involved, including head of music Jo Hewitt, and head of drama Alex Green.
Former pupil Matt Pettle provided the lights and helped Alex with directing the cast.
More than 400 people witnessed the show, two of the largest audiences for a show by the school ever and it is hoped to make it an annual event.
