SLIDESHOW: Top bowls players receive warm welcome in Warwick

The highlight of Warwick Boat Club’s week was a friendly against The Friends of Bowls England (FoEB)

The Friends of Bowls England (FoEB), which included Bowls England Presidential Team of: Rosemary Ellman-Brown, BE president 2013, Adie Lloyd, BE senior vice-president 2013, Marcia Pearce BE junior vice president 2013 and Stuart Lake, BE immediate past president; with a number of other county presidents from around the UK included in the team. The very experienced FoEB team members had travelled from all over the UK to take part in this fixture including, on the day of the match, Cumbria, Scotland and Yorkshire. The majority of the match took place in dry and sunny if windy conditions, however the last 15 minutes saw torrential rain arrive,. Fortunately only one rink was still in play, with the teams stoically carrying on for the last two ends.
