Slimmer wins award for helping others in Leamington and Warwick lost 500 stone

A woman who has helped a group of slimmers in Leamington and Warwick lost 500 stone between them over the past year has been presented with a national award.

Saffron Medway, who lost four stone herself in 2003 and has since maintained a healthy weight, was one of only seven Weight Watchers leaders in the country to be selected for the Values Hero award this quarter.

Saffron became a Weight Watchers leader in 2008 and has helped residents across five meetings in Leamington and Warwick progress towards a healthier weight and lifestyle.

She said: “In 2016 alone, Warwick and Leamington residents have lost over 3,800 lbs - that’s over 22 twelve-stone people! Last year the groups lost an incredible 500 stone between them. I am so incredibly proud of my members and want to encourage other local residents to follow suit.
