Southam rocks to 1950s revival
A RETRO REVIVAL is taking place in the town of Southam tomorrow (Saturday) when they’ll be celebrating all things cool and kitsch from the 1950s.
Stroll down Market Hill and High Street to catch up with the vintage cars, motorbikes, hula-hooping and some good old rock’n’roll.
There’s even a “ration book” of special offer vouchers to redeem on goods in many of the town centre shops.
Watch out too for the ‘Sugarbilly girls” and the fifties-style lounge - or just sit back and enjoy a relaxing makeover from the days when most married women didn’t work.
