Spa Strummers to play HS2 protest song at Cubbington action group’s event

Ukulele players will perform a song in protest of the proposed HS2 high-speed rail project at an action group’s fundraising event next month.

The Spa Strummers will give a premier performance of the piece written specially for Cubbington Action Group Against HS2’s at the campaign group’s evening of music and laughter at Cubbington Sports & Social Club in Windmill Hill on Friday March 28 from 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

Photographic notelets showing the beautiful Cubbington countryside, which is under threat from HS2, will be on sale.

Funding is needed as the action group is involved in a joint petition to an independent parliamentary committee for better route mitigation before the HS2 Bill is passed.
