Specsavers staff were all heart

STAFF at a Leamington opticians went the extra mile in a charity campaign they took part in to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

The employees at Specsavers in the Parade collected unwanted 1p coins from customers in a bid to make up to a mile of the unwanted pennies.

The store also donated £1 from every pair of glasses it sold for a week in June and the staff held a cake sale.

Clare Cassidy, fundraising volunteer manager for the British Heart Foundation, thanked the staff for their support.
