Sporting youngsters enjoy Kenilworth games

Children have enjoyed a day of sporting fun at the annual Summer Games in Kenilworth.
The Support Sport, organised by Warwick District  Council, run Summer Games event for 5-12 year olds were taking place at Meadows Community Sports Centre (Kenilworth School) on Wednesday.

Enthusiastic youngsters from all over the district came out to enjoy the day of sports and make new friends on Wednesday.

With activities from dodgeball, basketball, football, tennis, handball and athletics, children from five to 12 years old took part to make the most of the sunshine in the last weeks of the summer holidays.

Organised by Warwickshire District Council, the games day at Meadows Community Sports Centre in Kenilworth School even included an appearance by Cookie the mascot. The day focused on teaching new skills, getting the children involved in games and competitions, coaching and making new friends.

It was described as a hugely successful day for all those who took part and organisers are already looking forward to the next event.
