Star of James Bond film comes to museum

JAMES Bond himself was in a car that will from this weekend be on display at a museum in south Warwickshire.

Visitors to the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon will from Sunday be able to get up close to the Land Rover Defender 110 double cab pick-up that was driven in the opening sequence of the latest Bond release, Skyfall.

The left-hand drive, Belgium spec, 2.2-litre diesel, four-wheel drive, six-speed automatic is seen in the film driven by field agent Eve, played by Naomie Harris, and Mr Bond, played by Daniel Craig, was sitting in the passenger seat.

There were in fact 12 Land Rovers used in the film, all in various stages of damage, and the centre in Gaydon now has one of them in its collection.
