Summer scorcher for Leamington community festival

Scorching sun and a history-making Wimbledon final contributed to a fantastic afternoon at the second Doin’ It In the Dell festival on Sunday.

The volunteer-run event saw crowds pack into the Dell, opposite the Star and Garter in Warwick Street, which worked with Aubrey Allen to provide a barbecue onsite and welcomed festival-goers to buy drinks at its bar.

Performing bands - all from Leamington - included the Leam Jazz-Funk Collective, Silent City, Cowboy, The Swaps and General Theory of Dub, large murals were created through the day by Kenilworth-based Brink and stalls run by One World Link’s youth group and the Leamington Underground Cinema.
