Slimming World members have achieved their target weights and are urging other people to see if they can do the same.

Consultant Debbie O’Dell said: “Last year saw Slimming World members all across Rugby and Southam lose tonnes of weight between them, many achieving their target goals.

“Not only can healthy eating and weight loss be life changing it can, in some instances, save lives too. In comparison a medium car can weigh a tonne as can a buffalo or a rhino, when you think about it in those terms, what an achievement especially when you think it’s multiple!”

She said this year is already proving a big success.

Debbie added: “We have more members, and more weight loss, more lives changed and saved and we absolutely believe food optimising is the key to this success, providing the safe, healthy eating plan that the whole family can follow.

“Body magic helps keep the weight at bay along with providing long term health benefits. I believe people can all live happy with Slimming World.”

She said some members have lost as much as nine stone.

Debbie said: “The success of our members is paramount and we’ve getting some storming results. Some members having lost nine stone over the course of the last year.

“These results are amazing and really great achievements for our members.

“But the great thing is, it’s not just about our members, we love a good fundraiser and during 2015 we supported Cancer Research UK with a fabulous clothes throw (of course donated by our lovely members who slimmed out of the ‘big’ things) along with Slimming World’s Race for Life in August and between the two we managed to raise around £5,000 from just Rugby and Southam alone.

“We are hoping to smash that this year.”

She said excitement continues week in week out with in-group competitions and group sharing.
