Suspect charged with murder after Kenilworth arrest

The man arrested at a Kenilworth petrol station on suspicion of a “savage” and “unprovoked” murder in Luton has now been charged with the crime.

Sameer Babar, 35, from Carnegie Gardens, Luton, has been remanded in police custody to appear before Luton Magistrates Court today (Friday).

He is accused of killing Leonard Flower, 67, who was attacked in his garage at about 2pm on Tuesday.

Babar was arrested at the Jet petrol station in Warwick Road later that day.
