TV chefs and cookery writers Mich Turner MBE and Peter Sidwell sampled the delicacies of some of the country’s favourite independent, family-run and community bakeries, tasting and critiquing their way through breads, cakes, pastries and pies.

The programme, which started on Monday, is being aired daily for a month as a celebration of the UK’s best bakeries and the delicious food they produce including regional specialities and centuries-old recipes.

Sweet As is an award-winning chocolate specialist which creates cakes, brownies and various other goodies.

Each of its cakes are handmade using the finest ingredients such as free range eggs and luxurious Belgian chocolate.

The bakery has previously baked for Prince Charles and television presenter Phillip Schofield.

The programme will be on air at 4pm.
