Tea room has dressed to impress

A “QUIRKY” display that rekindled memories of the time when the Queen began her reign won a Leamington business first prize in a Jubilee-themed competition.

BID Leamington and the Leamington Chamber of Trade selected Vinteas in Park Street as the winner of its window display competition, which encouraged entrants to dress the fronts of their shops in red, white and blue in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Maxine Howe from the chamber said: “It was extremely hard to decide a winner as all the businesses that entered made such a superb effort.

“But Vinteas impressed us with their quirky display, reminiscent of the 1950’s when the Queen came to the throne.”

Sam Morris, who owns the tea room, which opened last month, said: “It’s great to have such recognition so soon.”
