The event itself will take place at the Pump Room on Saturday November 19.

Organiser Kimberley Owen said: ““We chose the theme this year because we want to challenge convention and showcase the people, ideas and projects that disrupt thinking and inspire action,”

The team is searching for a range of speakers and performers for the event.

Co-organiser Imogen Pierce said: “We aren’t simply looking for professional speakers - we want to use our event to shine a light on the projects and people that normally don’t get to share their inspirational stories,”

The dealine for applications is midnight on July 22.

Last year’s inaugural TEDxLeamingtonSpa event took place at the Spa Centre in November and featured 13 speakers and three performances with the theme of Courageous Creations.

Some of the highlights of the event, which sold out in 73 minutes, included a performance of the Downton Abbey theme by Mary-Jess Leaverland, who won the Chinese singing contest Min Xing Chang Fan Tian in 2009, and talks by BAFTA Award-winning screenwriter Geoff Thompson, Lunar Mission One director Angela Lamont and international model Roger Frampton, who created his own exercise programme The Frampton Method.
