Teenage car reviewer who’s too young to sit in the driving seat!

HE may not have a driving licence, but life in the passenger seat has not stopped a Leamington schoolboy launching his own motoring website.

On www.topcarnews.co.uk North Leamington School pupil William Savage has posted his reviews on supercars such as the Mclaren MP4 12C and the F-Type Jaguar.

The idea was born when William was asked to come up with a concept for his own website at school - but thanks to his father pulling some strings, the 14-year-old has ridden in some of the most desirable cars around.

His own experience behind the wheel is so far limited to driving his father’s automatic in a field, but this does not stop the 14-year-old waxing lyrical on the power of the McLaren.

He said: “It was amazing. It’s not what you would think a supercar would be like. When you accelerate you can feel yourself being dragged back into the seats. It’s quite an adrenaline rush.”

After discovering he could buy the domain name TOPCARNEWS for two years for just £5.99, and with some help from Leamington web design studio Light Media, staff at Jaguar Land Rover and the Imagineering Foundation, William launched the site ‘quietly’ during the Olympics to give him time to build up material over the summer holidays.
