The alpacas are coming to town
The British Alpaca Society’s annual Alpaca Fiesta will welcome around 300 of the animals - including both the well-known fluffy Huayaca and the rarer Suri breeds - to the site on Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29.
Free to attend, the show will give visitors the opportunity to learn more about and get close to the Peruvian creatures.

Paul Stead, chairman of event organiser the Heart of England Alpaca Group, said: “The UK’s affection for alpacas shows little sign of diminishing and so we’re aiming to make this year’s event more of a showcase for the wider general public.”
