There’s lots of mileage still left in these classic cars

STYLISH vehicles from Britain and America – including an old ice cream wagon – tempted visitors to Warwick town centre on Sunday.

The annual Retro and Classic Car Show ran from 10am to 4pm and was centred on Market Place and parts of nearby streets. Cars on display included Minis, Sunbeams and Jaguar E-Types.

The show also attracted motorbike and scooter owners who showed off their vehicles.

One of the many who turned up to see the display was Warwick resident Charles King-Smith, of Emscote Road.

He said: “It was very popular and the cafes were doing a roaring business.”

Mr King-Smith, who used to drive an old Riley Kestrel once a year in the Coventry Run for classic cars, added: “I thought it was rather impressive.

“We need more of this kind of event to attract people into Warwick.”
