Thieves ransacked a home in Scots Close, Rugby between 2.20pm and 4.10pm on Thursday after breaking in through the front door. The burglars are believed to have left the property after triggering a hidden alarm. It is not known whether anything was stolen.

One witness reported seeing a Volkswagen Golf with two people inside on the driveway at around 3.50pm. A man ran out of the house and the vehicle sped off.

At 4.45pm that afternoon a woman living in Welsh Road West, Southam returned home to find her back gate and back door open and jewellery and a computer missing.

Two witnesses reported seeing a dark grey Volkswagen Golf in Grange Close with three white men inside. The front seat passenger knocked on the door of a property in Grange Close asking for directions to Coventry.
