Three people taken to hospital after crash in Warwick

One woman has been seriously injured and two other people required hospital treatment after a crash involving a taxi in Warwick yesterday evening (Thursday February 11).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A46 Warwick Bypass in Stanks Hill, Warwick, at 11.49pm.

Hide AdTwo ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car from the Air Ambulance Service with a doctor and paramedic on board were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find a single vehicle RTC involving a taxi which had ended up in a ditch.
"One passenger, a woman, was in a critical condition.
"Crews worked closely with the fire service to extricate her from the vehicle whilst she received advanced trauma care.
"Once released from the vehicle the woman was conveyed on blue lights to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further emergency care.

Hide Ad“A second passenger, a woman, and the driver, a man, were given treatment on scene for non-serious injuries before both being taken to the same hospital for further checks.”
Police are also appealing for witnessed to the incident.
A spokesperson from Warwickshire Police said: "A silver BMW is understood to have left the road just prior to the Stanks junction shortly before midnight.
"A woman in her 20s – a passenger in the car - suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition. Her next of kin has been informed.
"Enquiries are ongoing but we’re appealing for anyone who was driving in the area, who saw the vehicle or who has dashcam footage of the collision to get in touch.
"Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 399 of 11 February."
